History

  • In 1974, two traditions came together:Loyola College grew out of the English-language program of Collège Sainte-Marie, a Jesuit college founded in 1848.Sir George Williams University originated in the evening classes offered by a YMCA Educational Program that began in 1851 and continued in various YMCA facilities in downtown Monteal.

Housing services

  • There are a number of recommended lodging options available for your stay in Montreal.Please note that arrangements were made for special conference prices. 

Library services

  • The Library provides a variety of study spaces at Webster Library, Vanier Library and in the Grey Nuns Building including spaces for silent study, a keyboard-free zero noise room, bookable group study rooms, and various collaborative spaces for quiet group work.
  • The Library is a quiet space on campus. In collaborative spaces, speaking softly is permitted.

ICT services

  • Open a ticket with the Service Desk using one of our customized web forms. These forms help us gather the specific information we need to provide the quick support you're looking for.
  • Complete and submit the web form that best fits your needs from the options below. You'll receive an automatic acknowledgement by email with your ticket number. 

Medical services

  • The Health Services medical team includes nurses, doctors, mental health specialists, and health promotion specialists.
  • Assess your sexual health needs, run or order tests as needed, start certain treatments, teach you about your contraception options, and in certain circumstances even give you a prescription to start birth control

Campus life

  • Consider Montreal your canvas and watch a whole city open itself up to you at Concordia. From the downtown hustle of the Sir George Williams Campus to the relaxed Loyola Campus (and everywhere in between), you’ll find clubs, sports, professional networks, and support services to balance your life, work and study. 

Sports facilities

  • Le Gym is a comprehensive fitness facility located on the downtown campus. It has the latest exercise equipment, experienced personal trainers, and many classes, covering aerobics, fitness, martial arts and more.
  • Concordia Recreation offers a variety of sports leagues on the Loyola Campus at the Ed Meagher Arena, Concordia Gym, Concordia Stadium and the Stinger Dome.
  •  Fitness and sports facilities can be found on both campuses. Loyola's athletics complex is the focal point for intramural leagues. The Sir George Williams campus is home to Le Gym, a comprehensive workout facility. Some venues are also available to rent.
