Housing services

  • Typically, first year students are housed together in the same area; the skills and lifetime friendships you make will ease your transition into the University community.
  • Student Housing is guaranteed for all students that submit their online booking form by the deadline. Housing assignments will be provided upon check-in.
  • Graduate students have the option to live on or off campus. Off-campus housing is the responsibility of the student.

Library services

You will be able to spend more time in computer rooms, libraries and the Centers for Learning and Academic Support Services (CLASS).

Medical services

The department is responsible for creating warm, safe and inviting communities to ensure your time on-campus is the best it can be. Residence halls are open during winter and spring break.

Campus life

All campus residence halls offer amenities and features that will help you stay focused on your studies. The residence halls are only a short walk from classroom buildings, dining halls, the Tsongas Center, LeLacheur Baseball Park, the Campus Recreation Center, the Lydon Library and more.

All bedrooms are fully furnished with a bed, dresser, desk, chair, and wardrobe. Rooms are wired for high-speed internet access, standard cable television, and local and on-campus calling; however, you must purchase your own phone and television. Many of the residence halls have common TV rooms, laundry facilities, kitchens and vending machine areas.

Sports facilities

CRC includes the following:

  • LifeFitness, Precor, Cybex, and Concept II cardiovascular equipment
  • Three multipurpose courts used for basketball, volleyball and badminton. They are also used for intramural sports
  • Two multipurpose studios for aerobic-based classes such as zumba, kickboxing, yoga, and Pilates
  • 1/10-mile running track used for walking and running
  • Two racquetball courts and 1 squash court
  • Locker rooms with showers and saunas
  • Pool tables
  • Ping pong tables
  • Bicycle shop
  • Outdoor adventure trips
  • Personal training
  • Kayaking lessons

Student clubs

UMass Lowell has over 100 student clubs and organizations to suit all interests. If no group matches your interests currently exists, it is very easy to organize a new one.
