Established in 1966 on the lands of the Kaurna nation.
Just as our namesake Matthew Flinders famously remarked he was not content to rest unnoticed in the middle order, Flinders as an institution has never been content with the status quo.

Student services
The International Student Services (ISS) team is part of Flinders International. ISS is the first point of contact for all onshore international students, including those who are studying online due to COVID-19-related travel restrictions, and offers a range of programs supporting your enrolment, study and social life, as well as referring students to services on campus and within the local community. ISS organises a general orientation program for new international students, day and weekend tours throughout the semester, social activities and information sessions.
Housing services
Experience the community and convenience of living on-campus. With a five-minute walk to your classes, a tight-knit family and fun extracurriculars, there are plenty of reasons to live at Flinders University. We have a safe, supportive and dynamic community of over 560 students.
We’re not just the only South Australian university with on-campus accommodation in the Adelaide metro area. We’re also 20 minutes by bus from the city and some of Adelaide’s best metropolitan beaches. Plus we have many great eateries and services on campus.
No matter your interests, you’ll find something you love from the range of social, sporting, academic, cultural and philanthropic activities on offer.
Medical services
The health service provides emergency and routine medical care, as well as other services such as:

Campus life
Located just 12km south of the centre of Adelaide, the Bedford Park campus is Flinders' main campus. It's a spacious, elevated site with panoramic views to the coast and over the city. Our Student Hub offers 24/7 study spaces and access to all student services in one convenient location.
Sports facilities
Flinders University Sport and Fitness provides a modern, air-conditioned gym and fitness centre available for hire on a regular or ad-hoc basis. You can also join as a member.
Indoor facilities- Central Pavilion with change rooms and function area, including a canteen and kitchen facilities.

- Three squash courts.
Many courses at Flinders are externally accredited by professional bodies. Quality assurance by external agencies is an important element of a robust quality assurance framework.
