Research
Our research centres foster innovative and inter-disciplinary research that makes a difference to the world and contributes to the common good. In the 2014 Research Excellence Framework Newman entered a significant proportion of its academic staff, with much of the work submitted rated as Internationally Excellent, and research in three areas classified as World-Leading.
Career
We welcome those who have graduated within the last three years from Newman University and students from other institutions, who cannot access the university careers service where they completed their degree.

The Disability and Mental Health Service's role is to enable students, requiring additional support, to fully participate in Newman life and also to promote awareness of inclusive practice throughout the University.

Whether you’re in Birmingham for a social visit or a business trip, all former students of Newman are eligible to book discounted accommodation in our fully-serviced, double-bedroom apartment on campus.

Campus life
Situated on the outskirts of south west Birmingham, Newman's campus is based in Bartley Green, some 8 miles from the city centre and overlooks Bartley reservoir and the Worcestershire countryside beyond.
Sports facilities
Over the years a strong sporting tradition has developed in Newman: there is a large sports hall, a gymnasium, squash courts, all-weather sports pitch and a health and fitness centre on site. Newman attracts students from all parts of the United Kingdom and beyond.
