About the course
The Curating from Art to Design and Beyond course at the University of the Arts London (UAL) will assist students in contextualising and developing ideas about curating exhibitions, displays and public programmes with a multidisciplinary approach, drawing from art, design, fashion, architecture and other fields.
Throughout the course, students will be presented with a selection of historical and contemporary curatorial approaches through a dynamic combination of theoretical and practical sessions.
Students will also engage with a stimulating array of visits to trigger creative links with London’s rich contemporary culture, from gallery and museum visits to sessions alongside professional artists, designers and curators.

Who should take this course?
- Students of any discipline with an interest in current curatorial practices and the connections between visual arts, design, fashion, architecture and other fields.
- The course will be suitable for people with little or no previous experience in curating, but also for people with some experience and an interest to further develop their portfolio and knowledge in the field. The course will put special emphasis on testing new approaches to the expanding field of curating.
