Overview
Located this year in the charming village of Alter do Chao, the Caribbean of the Amazon, the Inhabiting the Anthropocene course offered by Architectural Association will introduce students to biomimetics as a project methodology and to parametric software as a design tool.
We will explore the confluence of nature and technology by looking into the functional, structural and morphogenetical strategies of local flora and fauna and extracting principles to design and prototype locally attuned architectural designs.
At the end of the workshop, the work produced will be exhibited in the Science Museum of the Amazonia (MuCA)
