About

Many of the significant challenges health professionals and managers face in public health involve convincing individuals to change and adopt behaviors and decision making processes. University of Basel offers the Communication, Marketing and Social Media programme.

Key facts

The mere dissemination of information is often insufficient to convince people to take action. In addition, the growing spread of misinformation, disinformation, conspiracy theories, and rumors through online platforms has become a major challenge in public health activities. Aspects of health communication in classic media and in digital and social media will be discussed.
