What you will study
The Valuation for Land Reform and Expropriation course offered by University of Cape Town is both theoretically rigorous and practical, providing a range of skills required for the determination of value as defined in the Property Valuation Act and the Regulations to the Act.
On completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand and apply the legal framework for valuation for land reform and expropriation.
- Understand and apply the conceptual framework for valuation for land reform and expropriation.
- Understand and apply methods and techniques relevant for valuation for land reform and expropriation.
- Determine the value of property in terms of the Property Valuation Act and the Regulations to the Act.
- Understand and apply the legislative valuation report writing requirements.
