Following on from the ‘Red Scare’, learn about the USA in the years from 1964-2008 through the eyes of eight American presidents. Beginning with Lyndon B Johnson and ending with George W Bush explore the challenges each president faced and analyse the factors that influenced their responses, from their personalities, to their advisors and the ideological considerations with University of Strathclyde's American Presidents from Lyndon B Johnson to George W Bush.

- You will be encouraged to share readings or experience of the era. This class starts where ‘Red Scare’ finishes, but new students are welcome. Learn through lecture, class discussion and an analysis of sources.
