Although robots and ‘computer brains’ have been a staple of science fiction literature and cinema, it is only recently that such technology has become available in ways which impact our day-to-day lives. University of Strathclyde's AI and the rise of the Robots class will look at the rapid development of computer and related technology in the last thirty years, and how digital technology is shaping our everyday lives (smartphones, digital assistants, microprocessors in domestic appliances), before considering current thinking on topics such as artificial intelligence and robotics, and what the future may hold.
