About the Mindful Eating Course Tutor at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol)
Christine Ramsey-Wade is a chartered and registered counselling psychologist. She has had a personal meditation practice for many years, and has undergone mindfulness teacher training with Bangor University.
Christine teaches mindfulness skills to clients in a mental health setting, and teaches mindfulness theory and practices to postgraduates at UWE Bristol. She follows the Good Practice Guidelines for Teaching Mindfulness-based Courses as set by the UK Network for Mindfulness-Based Teachers, and is a UK Registered Teacher for both Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).
She has also completed the Mindful Eating-Conscious Living Level 1 and Level 2 Training with Jan Chozen Bays, MD and Char Wilkins, MSW, and is working towards certification as a Mindful Eating-Conscious Living teacher.
Programme Structure
If you are interested in this course, you will be invited to attend an orientation session.- The orientation session is a chance to find out more about the course and ask any questions you may have. It will also be an opportunity for you to experience a short practice in a small group environment, which can help you to assess whether this course is right for you at this time.
- Upon completion of your orientation session, you will be invited to formally register on the course and pay your course fees via the UWE Bristol WPM System. Attendance at the orientation session is a course requirement.

- This short course is appropriate for anyone over the age of 18 who is interested in mindfulness meditation. You need to be willing to practise the in-class exercises at home between sessions, and to complete some questionnaires when needed.
