What you will learn
On successful completion of the Statistical Analysis and Trials course offered by Cranfield University you should be able to:
- Critically assess and calculate probabilities for the binomial, Poisson and normal distributions,
- Critically assess and execute significance tests and confidence intervals for means and variances in one-sample, two-sample, large sample and small sample cases,
- Critically assess and execute simple linear regression, one-way and two-way analysis of variance.

- Summarising data and exploratory data analysis (by pre-reading),
- Probability and probability distributions,
- Confidence intervals,
- Significance tests for large and small samples,
- Tests of consistency and goodness of fit,
- Non-parametric methods,
- experimental and trials design,
- Regression,
- Analysis of variance for the analysis of experimental data,
- Statistical aspects of simulation modelling.
