Overview
Programme
Through lectures, artist talks, re-enactments and interactive hands-on experimentation, the Arts and Media Archaeology course from Antwerp Summer and Winter University aims to foster students’ ability to think through media by questioning their materiality, sensory properties, and its role as a historical source. The Summer School is aimed at research MA and PhD students and more advanced artists and researchers in the field of Arts, Performance, Media and Cultural History from the University of Antwerp and other universities in Belgium and abroad.
Programme Structure
Day to day programme- The 5-day programme consists of public keynote lectures, lectures by international and national experts in the field of cultural and performance studies and the histories of science, knowledge and media; artist talks and a series of interactive hands-on workshops providing a more practice-based approach to the subject.
- The programme also includes 2 field trips and social and artistic evening activities.
