History
Since 1958 the Institute for Higher Social Communication Studies (IHECS) has organised training in the field of journalism and communication by linking media theory and practice together.
Education
The IHECS trains future press and communication professionals by offering different Masters degrees:
- Journalism (Masters in Press and Information)
- Advertising
- Public Relations
- Sociocultural Activities and lifelong learning
- Media literacy
Research
IHECS leads different pilot European journalism teaching projects. In particular it is co-founder of Micro-Europa, a network of twelve journalism schools, originating from eight European countries, which work to achieve common thematic broadcasts, traversing local, transnational and European foundations and offering exchanges on solid methodology and projects.
